In guild groups / mythic it won't be a big problem since you can just say he is at the south-east or at mark blue (which people will understand after progressing for a while). So if they hide minimap pings during this encounter they will mostly hurt PUGs which I don't think is anything they want to do. Stand in the middle, Tip the Scales and Fire Breath on Boss. Living Flame should then take out all the totems giving you the few seconds needed to nuke the boss. My iLvl was 445..
